Saturday morning and it’s off to the park with the dog and friend Ali. Down at Deep Rock in Fairfield Park, along the Yarra River, a couple of sleepyheads are rousing from their swags. The Doof masters are surveying the scene post
last night’s doof. Yes, the music was loud and apparently the police did arrive sometime in the wee small hours. What is outstanding is the landscape – free of rubbish. These guys take a responsible approach – plastic bins for litter, signs requesting doofers to please use the bins provided and a rubbish hunt next morning. Hooray for them. Not my taste in music, but I admire their effort in creating an environmentally responsible event.
